Thank you to the John H. Mabry Trust for their support of SABA Giving Day 2023!

SABA would like to extend a huge thank you to the John H. Mabry Trust for their generous support in matching $20,000 in donated funds for the 2023 Giving Day campaign.

John Mabry was a prominent behavior analyst in the field of verbal behavior. He received his master’s degree from the University of Houston in 1960 and his PhD from Arizona State University in 1963. A student of Jack Michael, Mabry and his work helped establish the field of behavior analysis. He became a member of ABAI in 1977. Throughout the decades, he was a much-loved and deeply respected colleague, presenter, educator, and friend. He gave generously of his time and expertise, and countless behaviorists can point to him as a mentor, an inspiration, and a truly trailblazing scientist. In a final act of generosity to the science of behavior analysis, he designated a final bequest to SABA, one that will enable us to fulfill our goal of “promoting the field of behavior analysis by supporting talented students, encouraging global promotion of the science, and recognizing our most inspiring leaders and giving them a platform to reach an even bigger audience."
