2007: Teodoro Ayllon

Dr. Teodoro Ayllon has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families. He lectures on a therapeutic approach that regards problematic behavior largely as children’s efforts to deal with and control their social environments. The treatment strategy is to replace ineffective parental practices with those that encourage children to seek positive experiences with their families. Dr. Ayllon is a licensed psychologist in Georgia and maintains a private practice in Atlanta. He is also professor emeritus of psychology at Georgia State University. Dr. Ayllon is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and holds Board Certification, Diplomate in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. Over the years, Dr. Ayllon has served as a consultant to psychiatric hospitals, prison systems, schools, private organizations, and state and federal agencies. He has published more than 80 scientific articles and four books on therapeutic methods involving the emotional and behavioral problems of adults, teenagers, and children.
