2005: Denis O’Hora & colleagues
University of Ulster
Dr. Denis O’Hora and his colleagues at the University of Ulster used the 2005 International Development Grant to set up the first master’s program in behavior analysis in Northern Ireland and the first BACB-approved course sequence in Ireland. The project provided behavior analysis training with the goal of equipping individuals to address shortfalls in behavioral support services for persons with autism in Northern Ireland. Because the training involved is internationally recognized for its adherence to behavioral principles, some control in the region over who may and may not be called behavior analysts was also achieved.
