2000: Gabriela Sigurdardottir
Iceland
Making information about behavior analysis available to students, decreasing the response cost involved in the information-gathering process, and providing encouragement from those who have begun careers in behavior analysis have been important components of establishing the science of behavior in Iceland. With this in mind, an International Development Grant was used to create a library of information for Icelandic students considering careers in behavior analysis. The grant was used to hire an assistant to help categorize and formalize information that had already been collected and made available. Additionally, some resources went into gathering input and resource recommendations from Icelandic behavior analysis students studying in the US. Today, the library is maintained and updated by Dr. Gabriela Sigurdardottir.
