2001: Rita Honan & Ian Grey

Trinity College

Drs. Honan and Grey used the International Development Grant to initiate a course for undergraduate students in theories of learning and behavior analysis. This was supplemented with instruction in autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, and the application of ABA to these populations. Students were required to interview to be included in this training and subsequent work experience. This project eventually led to the development of an applied behavioral psychology learning track within the Department of Psychology at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. The training involved collaboration with two County Dublin agencies: Beechpark Services and Stewart’s Hospital School. This collaboration allowed Trinity students to be supervised in the development of behavioral support and educational programs and their implementation.
