2010: James Ellis

Melmark New England

Using a classroom donated by the British Embassy and furniture and supplies donated by local businesses, Dr. James Ellis and two tutors have been providing support services to children in Georgetown, Guyana. The goal of this endeavor is to one day replicate the pilot classroom throughout the country and develop nationwide services for children with autism in Guyana. The SABA grant was used to purchase a laptop and printer for the purpose of maintaining communication between Dr. Ellis and the on-site tutors, and moves the program one step closer to providing ongoing educational services based on a model of applied behavior analysis to children with autism in Guyana.
