José G. Ardila Sánchez is an adjunct professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, where he works with culturo-behavior scientific frameworks. His research spans from the experimental analysis of cultural behavior to the logic of science, with a special interest in the dissemination of behavior-analytic approaches to social and cultural phenomena in Latin America.
The primary aim of this project is to translate Strategic Nonviolent Power (SNP) into Spanish and make it freely available online as a permanent open-access scholarly resource. SNP is a culturo-behavior analysis of nonviolent collective action, social movements, and systems-level change. The book integrates basic principles of behavior analysis with contemporary research on nonviolent resistance, offering a cohesive framework for understanding how large-scale social change occurs through organized patterns of collective behavior rather than individual action alone.
This project addresses a structural barrier to the dissemination of behavior-analytic approaches to social change by expanding access to a foundational text for Spanish-speaking students, researchers, practitioners, and educators. Rather than targeting individual-level training alone, the project is designed to support system-level development by creating durable academic infrastructure. The translated text can be incorporated into university curricula, graduate training programs, research, and professional practice across Latin America and other Spanish-speaking regions, thereby producing long-term and cumulative impact.
The translation will be conducted by Ardila Sánchez in close collaboration with Co-Presencias Editorial. The final product will be made available as a free open-access resource. This initiative represents an effort to strengthen the infrastructure for behavior-analytic scholarship in the Spanish-speaking world.
