Project Title: The Importance of Parent Education on ABA for Autism Spectrum Disorder

 

Pham Tuyen, M.S., QBA, is a PhD candidate at RMIT University and the founder of an ABA center in Vietnam. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology and has been working with children with autism and developmental disabilities since 2018, with a primary focus on early intervention and child-centered practices. Tuyen believes that meaningful progress for each child happens when we empower not just the child, but also parents, educators, and caregivers. She is deeply committed to advocating for the child’s best interests and delivering individualized, naturalistic, and culturally responsive supports that help each child reach their full potential.

 

To ensure the project’s quality, consistency, and cross-setting effectiveness, Tuyen has invited a team of trusted colleagues with complementary international expertise:

 

Kim Bui is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is currently working at Brighter Strides ABA in Virginia. Kim Bui graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2022. Since 2019, Kim Bui has supported individuals with developmental disabilities using ABA, CBT, RFT, and MI to build motivation, problem-solving, and independent living skills through individualized, naturalistic approaches.

 

Phuong Anh Nguyen, QASP-S, is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, specializing in ABA and play therapy for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. She works across clinics, homes, and schools, providing tailored care for diverse clients. Phuong Anh empowers families through parent training and collaborates with educators on inclusive strategies. Her culturally sensitive approach helps clients thrive in their communities.

 

Nguyen Bui, BCaBA, is an early intervention therapist and Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst with a strong foundation in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude, University at Buffalo, SUNY) and advanced ABA training from Monash University and FIT. She has delivered thousands of hours of early intervention, supervised ABA therapists, and supported families through trauma-informed and individualized approaches. As co-founder of a non-profit ABA project in Vietnam, Nguyen is committed to accessible care, therapist training, and autism advocacy through creative initiatives like sensory workshops and children’s books.
